Service Agreement
By submitting this form, I warrant that I am the record owner of the property described above or am otherwise legally authorized by the owner of record to enter into this agreement. I agree with the terms specified herein and retain Property Tax Consultants to represent me at the Appraisal District in the county in which my property is located to protest the assessed value of the property.

Tax savings are calculated based on the difference between the Appraised Notice Value and the Final Appraised Value times the tax rate in effect during the preceding year, before exemptions.

All notifications including but not limited to preliminary value notifications, hearing results, invoices, etc. will be delivered via electronic mail unless the property owner advises Property Tax Consultants otherwise. Properties can be added to this agreement by simply notifying Property Tax Consultants. Removal of properties must be made in writing, via email, fax or U.S. Mail with either party giving 30 days notice.

In the event of any material change in the status of my property, I agree to report such changed status to Property Tax Consultants at [email protected] or mail to:

Be sure to include your name, address and property tax account number. A material change will include any of the following:
  • New mailing address, telephone number or email address
  • Sale of property or any other change in the status of record ownership of the property
  • Any modification to the property that impacts its value such as change of use, additions/removals and/or structural defects

There will be no charge if the property tax hearing does not result in property tax savings. The Company will bill Client as soon as we obtain written evidence of a reduction in value from the appraisal district's office. Payment of invoices shall be due upon receipt. Following the 31st day after the invoice is issued, the outstanding balance will bear interest of 1.5 % per month, and cost of collection and attorney's fees, if any. Venue for any action brought in connection with this agreement shall be in Harris County, Texas. The Company may withdraw from this agreement, without notice, if its fees become delinquent or requested information is not received promptly. This agreement between the Client and the Company is irrevocable for the tax year this contract becomes effective. This agreement will remain valid under the same conditions unless revoked in writing by the Client before April 30th of any subsequent year.

All changes to this agreement must be in writing. The settlement procedure, and amount of settlement, are the sole discretion of the Company. The Company will not make any guaranty, representation, or warranty as to the appeal results. Recommendations, advice, and opinions are based on a sound knowledge of valuation, appraisal, and assessing theory on a national and local level. It is understood and agreed that the Company is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or opinions. This agreement includes an informal property tax hearing and formal property tax hearing before the Appraisal Review Board only. When warranted, we will advise the Client of alternative options for the settlement of property tax matters that go beyond the administrative appeal process. These options include, but are not limited to, correction motions, binding arbitration, and litigation. A separate agreement will be required for these options. Property owner agrees to pay Property Tax Consultants a contingency fee of 50% of Estimated Tax Savings (assessed value after ARB hearing less final value times prior-year tax rate) resulting from the binding arbitration or judicial appeal.

Legal Notice

In accordance with ยง1.111. Texas Property Tax Code, I acknowledge the following and appoint Property Tax Consultants as my designated agent, and place my signature on the Appointment of Agent form 1.111.

As my agent, Property Tax Consultants is authorized to sign on my behalf Property Tax Notices of Protest. I understand that I can revoke Appointment of Agent form 1.111 by notifying Property Tax Consultants in writing, giving 30 days notice. Property Tax Consultants is under no obligation to pursue any tax protest if it determines, in its sole discretion, that a tax protest is unsupportable under the facts. I hereby waive any and all warranties, express or implied, and agree that Property Tax Consultants liability for any error, omission, failure to act or incorrect statement is limited to the amount actually paid under this Service Agreement.
